The most problematic devices in the network are immediately
exposed via a dedicated Correlation Page that scores threatening
devices based on the number and severity of its alarms and violations.
This helps system users distinguish between devices that are
the root-cause of a problem versus those that are simply affected.
Users can also track trends in their networks for any time period,
location or policy using an easily customizable Charts Page.

AirMagnet is designed to help users easily create, document,
and enforce wireless policies based on the needs of their
business. The system includes a library of pre-configured
policy profiles tailored to specific industry needs (Government,
Health Care, Retail, Warehouses, etc.), as well as regulatory
standards such as HIPAA and GLBA. Policies can be applied
to any level of the network, targeting cities, buildings,
floors, specific devices or even VLANs within a single
device.

Compliance Reporting
AirMagnet Enterprise includes detailed compliance reports
covering a variety of regulatory standards including Sarbanes-Oxley,
HIPAA, DoD 8100.2, PCI-DSS, FISMA and GLBA. These reports
step through each section of the respective standards,
providing a pass-fail assessment of each device and policy,
while illustrating any needed corrective actions. The
solution also includes a library of over 50 pre-built
reports covering all aspects of WLAN security and performance.

Architecture
AirMagnet Enterprise is built on a truly revolutionary architecture
that provides unmatched scalability and flexibility. The system
consists of three components AirMagnet SmartEdge Sensors, deployed
throughout the network to analyze your wireless networks, a
centralized Enterprise Server that correlates events and integrates
to other systems, and Enterprise Consoles that provide the user
interface to the system.
Intelligent Flexible
Sensors
All AirMagnet Sensors have removeable antennas, and are ready
for user customization. Weather-proof ruggedized sensors are
available for monitoring harsh outdoor environments. AirMagnet
Sensors are also the only fault-tolerant sensors in the industry,
providing full Wi-Fi analysis even in the event of a WAN outage.
Fast, Flexible Deployments
AirMagnet SmartEdge Sensors support 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet,
and offer a "plug and play" Zero Configuration option
for fast, painless deployments. The AirMagnet Cable-Saver option
allows a PoE capable switch to serve both an AirMagnet Sensor
and an active AP with a single Cat5e cable, removing the need
for an additional cable run.
Enterprise Scalability
and Fail-over
A single AirMagnet Enterprise Server can support thousands of
remote sensors and can scale to any size with the proper hardware.
Any number of servers can be monitored through a single AirMagnet
Console, and the system includes a redundant management server
license for seamless fail-over. System upgrades can be scheduled
and controlled to protect any remote WAN link.
Protect Your Bandwidth
AirMagnet's unique local analysis drastically reduces the bandwidth
required between the Sensor and Server. An AirMagnet Sensor
typically sends only a few packets per second (about 5% of that
required by other sensors).
Network Management Integration
AirMagnet easily integrates with higher level network management
systems via SNMP (including SNMP version 3). Users can also
synchronize their ACLs to Cisco's WLSE, and integrate AirMagnet
alarms into traditional wired IDS systems using the supported
RDEP protocol.
Database Management
AirMagnet Enterprise includes a bundled license of Microsoft
SQL, and also supports other leading databases such as Oracle
10 and Access (not included). Users can manage their database
directly from the AirMagnet user interface, including the ability
to backup, restore and selectively purge data.
